Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Where should I start? Literally, start anywhere. Choose a meditation for the day and choose a movement class. If you are just getting into movement, start with one of the shorter 15-minutes workouts that are on the mat OR start with stretching. I also suggest walking 30 minutes per day twice per day if possible, in addition to a stretch or workout. If you are in the more advanced category of fitness, piece together a number of the workouts to create your own full body, longer movement experience. For meditation, if you're new, start with one of the shorter meditations. Any of the yoga nidras are great too - since they are done lying down and you essentially put your body to sleep and are guided.

The movement is all low-impact, gentle and effective. The meditations are potent and powerful. The combination of these things are what brought me back to life from post traumatic stress, disassociating, anxiety, grief, and post concussion symptoms. I'm positive these modalities will work for you, too.

  2. What if I have an injury? The movement is all low-impact, gentle and effective. Near all of the movement can be modified, and much of it already is. I would start with stretching and mat work, depending on your injury. Always consult your team of professionals.**Disclaimer reminder: none of what I share is medical advice nor a substitute for it.
  3.  Are there workout programs? If there is interest in me creating and fitness or meditation programs of any kind, let me know and I will do!
  4. How do I start meditating? All of the meditations in the studio are guided. Simply pop one on in a relaxed position and close your eyes. I love to either sit in a chair with my legs up, or lay on my back on the ground. If it feels right to sit up cross legged and tall with your back straight, you can do that too. The biggest thing for me is being comfortable so that I'm not thinking about being uncomfortable when I'm trying to focus on meditating. Also, there is a meditation eBook/PDF guide I have written to support you. It's a quick read and I do suggest you diving into it!
  5. Do you coach nutrition and food, or anything else? I do support in this area as well. I currently run a program that is focused on WHOLE BODY HEALING that covers this topic in great depth and detail (including focus on the brain). Ask me more: [email protected].
