Overcoming Fear, Minimizing Stress, Generational Wounds and Your Body

There isn't much I really fear (because I know everything is always working out for me), and of course there are healthy fears I still feel, just like everyone else, as the result of living the human experience day in and day out.

Almost everyone in the world has felt feelings of fear around being judged, not accepted (rejection) or have had the fear of things just not working out. This is normal, however, staying in these thoughts and feelings perpetuates a negative state in the mind and body that ripples into every area of your life: health, wealth, love, relationships. Thoughts as such will hold you back, keep you stuck, and decay you from the inside out. Not only will your cellular health rapidly decline (causing breakdown on the outside) but if it gets too bad, your body will manifest these stuck emotions as illness or disease. The key is to get out ahead of this. Move your body with me, get into a state of deep rest with the studio assets (meditations and yoga nidras), and use any and all of the resources inside the studio on repeat, including asking me questions. 

Some of what is manifesting as fear may not even be your own, it may have been passed down to you generationally. We hold up to 17 generations of DNA in our body. It would be impossible to be aware of every cell that's been mildly or majorly traumatized that is causing us a lack of confidence, perfect health or full self expression today. It is up to us to do our best to resolve, erode, release, and rewrite the programs - and we can. We have the power to do this consciously, and also unconsciously - while we are awake, and also while we are in meditation (yoga nidra, specifically) and while we are asleep. Just last night I had a lucid dream where my late mother was in my dream, and I realized in the moment, in the dream, that I was being shown generational wounds I get to release. It's always a choice. We can choose to hang onto the wounds and pain (sometimes we think we need to, and we do not). Or, we can choose to heal, rewrite and release the pain. Transmute this experience, memory and cellular dna and energy into something more neutral, positive and loving. 

Your body holds the records. You can change the records. Your body is a story book. You can choose to relive chapters or create new ones. It's all a choice. I say this lightly, and know it is a bigger undertaking than a snap of a finger, but it doesn't have to be a massive undertaking. There are gentle ways through this in which you don't need to revisit or relive the past in order to rewrite it. Simply stated: it's vibrational. I discovered this when I was healing from PTSD. Normally I would wake up feeling totally exhausted and depleted because my body was in fight-flight. My body didn't have a chance to rest or repair. The vibration was a stressed state. I started waking up feeling good again one day and thought to myself, "what's different". I was healing my body and brain in my sleep (something I guide, coach and teach) and thus, I was changing my vibration. Think about a body when it decays, it turns to ashes once the soul has left the body. Think about a body that is healthy and vibrant - the soul is healthy and gives life to the body. While doing all of the things in the physical (we get to do, as they are accurate and supportive), we also get to heal the soul to revive the body so it can be FULL of life and be fully self expressed. When we are fully self expressed, this is when complete healing occurs.

I've gone on a bit of a tangent here and will reign it back in. 

Back to stress and fear. We can only serve one master at a time. We can serve love or fear, and we can serve faith or doubt. We cannot serve both at the same time. We can to choose: love and faith or fear and doubt. Each of these states of being causes different outcomes, frequencies and vibrations - in your body, and in the outer world. A side note: we attract partners based on our psychological wounds - in that they're matched and that we are the medicine for each other's wounds. Life is a funny teacher like that! 

Reigning it back in once again.

When you have true, convicted faith, this leaves no room for doubt. When you act from a place of love and live in the vibration of love, this removes fear. These things sound simple, and, while they are, it takes practise to decondition yourself back to a place where any of the irrational fears can be stripped of the bodymind and soul, and back to a place of acceptance, compassion, and knowing that everything is working in your favor. 

On practically - and quickly reducing stress, here's what I'll say: you choose what you give power and energy to. Your thoughts create the outcomes. If someone or something is causing you stress right now (which may be very real), write down on paper: why is this causing me stress? What can I do about it? What is not within my control? How can I think about this differently? What is this situation teaching me? What can I choose to focus on instead? Honestly - when you get a grip on what is causing stress in your body, mind and life, you can usually reign it back in pretty quickly, and redirect your focus. Some things that cause stress, actually work themselves out when you remove the focus and pressure from them. It's very mental in nature to outcome vs practical. No one can control you, they just can't. One of the single greatest things I've learned to do is to become my own barometer in becoming talented at not being bothered (triggered) when someone or something used to bother me. Instead, I have adopted the mentality that "it's ok". I do not need to be liked by everyone when I love myself unconditionally. I do not need to be accepted by everyone, because not everyone is a healthy or positive vibrational match for me (and rejection is protection). I do not need to fear that things won't work out because I know that I am always being guided to take the next step in the right direction when I act with a pure heart. 

May you know that you are deeply loved, and always protected and provided for - like the birds in the sky, but at a much richer level.

The last thing I will say about fear, is that it is usually the most potent and powerful gateway to bliss - your next level of peace, joy, love, relationship, abundance, income/money, whatever have you. When you overcome something that makes you nervous by removing doubt you instantly gain confidence because you feel free from whatever was holding you back - and we often see that thing as silly and powerless in hindsight, which gives us even more confidence moving forward.

On taking action in the face of fear: pretend like your life depends on whatever it is. Example: if I don't do A (take action), then B (negative consequence) will happen. Stack up a bunch of fears and you get a bunch of negative consequences. Stack up a bunch of faith and you get a bunch of miracles. Let God and the Universe - and other humans (and angels) meet you halfway!

Reminder: that which you breathe life into gets life, i.e. a person/relationship, experience, etc. And the more life (energy, intention and focus) that is breathed into anything, gets more life. Ask yourself is you are feeding your fears or starving them, and if you are feeding your dreams or if you are starving them. Also ask yourself if you are part of the problem, whatever the issue or problem is. Are you being solution oriented and can you see the bigger picture or are you getting wound up in the micro and feeding it more of what it needs to keep fueling the problem. Food for thought. Just think about feeding or starving cancer. You feed cancer with sugar (negative thoughts and energy) and you can heal cancer with the right input (nutrition, thoughts, energy, lifeforce). It's all quite simple at the core of it. We humans do a great job of complicating and mucking it up. The great news is that we can pull each other "out of it" and rise up.
